The City of Madeira Beach is a popular beach destination with numerous opportunities for waterfront dining, shopping or entertaining. Madeira Way (or 150^th Avenue) traverses the beaches, ends at one of Madeira Beach’s large beach accesses with metered parking and facilities, and runs parallel to a road one block north that ends at a park on the intra coastal water way with tennis, baseball and basketball courts, a pavilion and grill, and a children’s play area with facilities. On Madeira Way are shops and diners and around the corner housed together are Madeira Beach City Hall and Fire Department with the Public Library right next door.

South from Madeira Way twenty-one blocks to Mile Marker 8 ½ John’s Pass drawbridge lifts every fifteen minutes to access the Gulf of Mexico and houses both a marina and a cruise port. John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk on the intra coastal water way contains a large pier complete with over one hundred shops for waterfront dining, shopping and entertaining. The City of Madeira Beach offers waterfront fast food along with several chain gas stations, and popular grocery and drug stores. Church by The Sea an old church rich in history and founded in 1944 is located at 137^th Avenue Circle.

The City of Madeira Beach provides sixteen opportunities to publicly access the beach, four of these with metered parking and the balance are a pedestrian path onto the beach. The City of Madeira Beach is situated between the City of Treasure Island (129th Avenue) to the south and the City of Redington Beach (155th Avenue) to the north.
